Classroom: Friday March 13 from 6 – 10 pm & Saturday, March 14 from 8 – 5 pm

MAAC Fixed Facility Live Fire Instructor
This course is a combination of classroom and field activities including live burns to give Instructors the knowledge and skills to meet the NFPA 1403: Standard on Live Fire Training Evolutions as it pertains to the Live Fire Fixed Facilities at the MAAC. It is intended for state certified Instructor I or II/III’s that are also designated by the Fire Chief and/or Training Officer as the Departments Instructor(s) for live fire training evolution at the MAAC.
Once the Course is completed the Instructor will need to complete the Live Fire Training Evolution – Fixed Facility Instructor Task Book specific to the Burn Building at the MAAC through a series of additional Live Fire Training Evolutions at their own pace.
Attendance is required at all sessions of the course.
Full PPE and SCBA w/ 2 Bottles Required for the Practical Skills on Sunday.
Prerequisites:
Firefighter I/II
Current Instructor I or II/III
Physical Ability to participate in all activities including Live Fire
Approval from sponsoring Fire Chief or Training Officer
